WELCOME TO CHARLIE'S PLACE
Serving Our Homeless Neighbors in Washington, DC Since 1990
Grounded in community and sustained by hope, Charlie's Place offers a warm and calm space where people experiencing homelessness get basic needs met while also finding the resources they need to empower themselves and better their lives.
PROGRAMS UPDATE
COMMUNITY IS AND REMAINS THE NUMBER ONE REASON PEOPLE COME AND KEEP COMING TO CHARLIE'S PLACE.
Beginning the week of August 1st, 2022, Charlie's Place morning program will be open to the public Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Each of these days, we will continue to serve food provided by our in-kind donation partners and distribute clothing and other essentials while also serving as a community gathering space.
We are continuing to provide the following services on site: Unity Healthcare visits, Case Management, the Food Pantry, the Clothing Closet, the Hair Academy, and Bible Study. Check out our Programs page for more details.
We are excited for the opportunity to provide more one-on-one case management support by appointment with our Director, Reggie Cox. We would like to thank Victor Freeman, our former Kitchen Coordinator, for his time with us. We are sad to say goodbye, but excited for his next chapter. Finally, thank you to our community for your support during this challenging time! We pray for the health and safety of you and your family and know that we will get through this – together!
