Charlie’s Place would like to thank the Center For Student Missions for their great work deep cleaning this week!

Thank you to superstar volunteer Rebecca Hamilton, who completed her marathon swim and raised $3,500 for Charlie’s Place. She wrote: I just completed the swim in 5 hours 20 mins (unofficial time). It was a glorious day! I set off right at dawn. Things got rough with wind and chop for an hour but that added to the joy. Gratitude to my amazing volunteer kayaker, MJ Staples. Another sign of success: Congratulations to client Eric Garrett, who just moved in to a new apartment in October 2025!

A documentary crew from Channel 5 in Great Britain came to Charlie's Place this week to interview clients and staff. Stay tuned for more info on when it airs!

American University law students helped us to make sandwiches, deep cleaned and organized our food pantry.

We celebrated Thanksgiving dinner 2024 with our Charlie’s Place clients. Thanks to Chef Vincent for another delicious meal of turkey, ham, his signature mac 'n cheese, collard greens and sides galore!

Today we say goodbye and thank you to our kind and hardworking GW communications intern, Violet. She was indispensable to Charlie’s Place this fall, and she will be so missed!
