In April 2025, WJLA-TV (channel 7) produced a profile on its website of Reggie Cox, Charlie's Place's executive director - "From sleeping on benches to leading change: DC man's journey through homelessness."

Reggie is unique in the world of non profit D.C. leadership. He lived on the streets of Washington, D.C., and came to Charlie’s Place as a client. He worked his way up from an intern to lead the organization. His lived experience, compassion and empathy has enabled him to gently minister to some long-term homeless clients that other organizations turned away. In November, one of Reggie’s close friends from the D.C. streets was recently housed with Reggie’s intervention.
